CALGARY - Workers from TransCanada Pipeline (TSX:TRP) are investigating a possible leak in a gas pipeline in northern Alberta.
Company spokesman Shawn Howard says a drop in pressure was detected early this morning on a pipeline about 140 kilometres west of Fort McMurray.
The pipeline has been shut down as crews on the ground try to secure and isolate the affected area.
Howard says the nearest residence is more than 50 kilometres away.
He says the company isn't yet sure what the impact will be on gas customers in the area.
